    A Tax Preparer is responsible for income tax preparation for businesses or individuals. A Tax preparer works for the client NOT the IRS. It is our responsibility to communicate and advise clients about the tax process from start to finish.

    Any individual who meet the minimum filing requirements base on filing status, age, and income
  • What filing status should be used? 
    There are 5 types of filing statuses:  Head of Household, Qualified Widow(er), Married filing Jointly, Married filing Separately, and Single. The filing status should be chosen based on the taxpayers unique living situation. The filing status has a big effect on your tax refund and can determine the type of credits a taxpayer is eligible for.
  • What are the eligible tax forms used to pay taxes?
    The most common forms used to determine a tax refund are W2s, 1099s, Records of income and expenses (Self -employed), unemployment (Unemployed), and dividends/investments, etc.
  • What are common credits that taxpayers may qualify for?

  • How long does it take to receive payment from a tax return?
    The IRS legally has 21 days to process a tax return that is submitted electronically. Mailed tax returns can take a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks to be processed before you can receive payment. *Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Delays are expected to impact the normal processing time for taxes.

  • How does the IRS communicate with taxpayers?
    The only form of communication from the IRS is through mail. It's essential that your most updated address is listed at the time of filing in order to have a seamless tax experience.   • What is a 1040 Form?
    The 1040 form is a federal tax form used to report a taxpayer’s income and deductions to determine the amount that is owed or refunded to the taxpayer. ALL Clients are subject to receive a copy of their 1040 form for individual records. The 1040 form will be provided ONCE to all clients. Any additional copy will have a mandatory $25 fee to be electronically sent/printed and will require a 48-hour delivery period.
  • What numbers are listed under Routing/account number on my 1040?
    The tax software used for the tax process generates unique account numbers that include the taxpayers social in place of the actual account number in order to protect sensitive information. Please don’t be alarmed when your banking information does not show on your 1040 documents.
  • How can I communicate with my tax preparer after my taxes have been filed?
    Tax Preparer can be contacted via Email, Text, or Social media? Gorgeous Tax Pros TAX POLICY Required clients to give a 24-grace period for a response for any questions or concerns.  TAX RELATED QUESTIONS/ CONCERNS will ONLY be ANSWERED  AND RESOLVED during NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS.
  • I receive a letter in the mail, what do I do?
    If you receive a letter in the mail from the Internal Revenue Service, Please contact your tax preparer in a timely manner. I highly encourage you to communicate with your preparer before taking any actions. Always remember your tax preparer is your first point of contact and works in the best interest of the client NOT the IRS. We are educated and will help guide you along the way with anything that comes our way. Most common reasons you could receive a letter in the mail are, Identity Verifications, requesting additional information,(1095-A) Healthcare through the marketplace, and Reviews. Please refer to your preparer for guidance on the next step.
